Horses Of Woodland Hills Ranch

Welcome to Woodland Hill’s Ranch. We are located on the foot hills of the beautiful Wasatch Mountain Range on the outskirts of the small city of Salem, about 15 miles south of Provo, Utah. To our west lies Utah Lake bordered by West Mountain. To the east, there are many picturesque mountains and canyons to enjoy take horse back rides in.

Stud Horses

We've always liked the exotic looks and color of Paint Horses, especially the black and whites.  In the Spring of 2000, we arranged to breed Tiara, our brown and white mare sired by 2x World Halter Champion Impressive Robin Jr. to Mr. Hobo, a homozygous black and white son of APHA Superior All Around Champion Mr. Tramp who was also homozygous for the tobiano gene.  On 4/5/2001, Villa's Super Tanker, a beautiful buff black and white horse colt was born, later like his sires, also tested as homozygous for he tobiano gene. Tank has thrown us some amazing looking paint colts.

On February 7, 2009, we were very excited to purchase "Know Who Dun It", an own son of the great NCHA World Champion Hollywood Dun It and a great grandson of Zan Parr Bar. "Dun It" as we call him, is a very handsome and powerfully built stallion, who is also quite a gentleman when handling him.  We know that Dun It will pass on his super working genes and "type" to our future colts.  Dun It's Genetic Disease 5 Panel Test result is N/N.   Sadly, he passed on in September 2018.  We will miss him.

You've probably guessed by now that we like performance horses topped with color.  In the Spring of 2014, we bred our Miss Peppy Warrior, a daughter of the 1985 Utah Cutting Futurity Champion, Ready San Peppy, grandson of Mr. San Peppy, Hall of Fame Cutting Champion, to a large blue roan stud, Blue Ringo Fire who carries the bloodlines of Zan Gold Jack (champion heeler) and Hall Of Fame Zan Parr Bar and other great horses.  The result, Blue Ready Zan Peppy was born on May 21, 2015.  As you can see from his pictures, Blue Zan is a gorgeous blue roan stud that we think will add a lot of "do-it-ness" and color to his foals.  Parentage DNA Test will be done soon, however, because both of his parents' results were N/N, we know that Blue Zan 5 Panel Testing will be "Clear ThroughParentage".

Mares

Miss Peppy Warrior is our foundation mare.  Pepper is a well built seal brown, but often black in color, daughter of Ready San Peppy, 1985 Utah Cutting Futurity Champion, grandson of Mr. San Peppy, Hall Of Fame Cutting Champion.  She was our introduction to the world of performance horses.  Her mother's side is filled with race horse champions.  Pepper is about 14.2 hands tall, and very attractive mare.  Often, we have had passers by come to the door and make offers to buy her, but she has never been for sale.  Pepper's Genetic Disease 5 Panel Test result is N/N!

Villa's Peppy By Two is a 2002 gorgeous bay out of our mare, Pepper.  Two was sired by Peppy's Wright Stuff, a chestnut Quarter Horse Stallion who was a Pacific Coast Superslide Futurity Reserve Champion, NRCHA Futurity Finalist, and other held other regional champion titles.  He was trained by Todd Bergen and shown twice by Bob Avila. Peppy's Wright Stuff was a son of Peppy Badger Chex and Miss Cal Sen.  As you can see, he is a very well bred stallion with a lot of ability and what a gorgeously built stallion he was.  Two's Genetic Disease 5 Panel Test result is N/N!

Ms Shining Spark Pep is a stunning 2010  palomino daughter 2010 of our foundation mare, Pepper.  Spark is sired by a palomino stallion, Doc Three Star, an own son of Hall Of Fame Shining Spark and is a grandson of Genuine Doc and Mr. San Peppy. DocThree Star was a money and point earner in cutting competition.  Spark's 5 Panel Test Result is N/N.

Little Blue Peppy DR is lovely blue roan mare that we bought in 2017 from the Davis Ranch in Brigham City, Utah.  Blue Peppy is a quiet and gentle mare, daughter of Blue Spark Olena out of Shining Spark and a daughetr of Smart Little Lena on the top side, and Peponita on the bottom side of the pedigree.  Last year, she was bred to Midnight Starlight, a black 15 Hand stallion, resulting in a blue roan horse colt this Spring that we call "Wookie" since he was born on Star Wars Day.  Blue Peppy's Genetic Disease 5 Panel Test result is N/N!
