Lilo

Villa's Tropical Blend, "Lilo" Our IABCA International Show Champion

Lilo International Champ 1

Lilo is our 2nd International Show Champion, a gorgeous dark chocolate weighing about 70 lbs.  Lilo is a daughter of one of our favorite chocolate females, Maya, from CH Naiken Indian Temple, MH.  We were so proud of Of Maya that we kept 2 daughters of hers, Lilo and Stitch who were sired by Am CAn CH Skyfire's Oughta Be A Law "Alibi", JH, CD, WC.  At 22 months of age, in October 2009, Lilo took Best Of Breed, and then Second in Group becoming our new International Show Champions.  Stitch also took a Best of Breed in another International Show.  We are so proud of them both. Lilo has a sparkling peppy spirit about her.  She's a show girl with the attitude of "whatever you can do, I can do better".  Still she loves people and she loves to retrieve.  She and Stitch has been hunting upland game since they were pups.

A little about Alibi, AM Can CH Skyfire's Oughta Be A Law JH.  We searched for a year before finding Alibi, sire of Lilo & Stitch, who is owned by Stephanie Harris of Skyfire Farm.  She says this: “Alibi has set the standard for temperament and trainability for us.  He has always done anything and everything I've asked of him and has done it with joy.  He completed his Junior Hunter title one week after going RWD at a Specialty, and his Companion Dog title the same weekend he was earning his last few conformation points. Most importantly he has volunteered at elementary school, visited the retirement home, worked with the 4-H kids, plays with the puppies, teaches the youngsters how to behave, retrieve, hunt and been an ambassador for the Labrador breed anywhere and everywhere we go.  Alibi is actively hunted both waterfowl and upland bird and will even help move the cows when I ask him too.  Truly he is a dog who can do it all!”

About Maya, we couldn't have asked for a better family companion; calm, dignified, and what a people loving dog.  She has been a great mother to all of her pups. Maya was our foundation bitch for our chocolates.  She ws a beauty and had a blocky body and a thick dark chocolate coat.  Her sire,CH Naiken Indian Temple, was one of the then 33 Show Champions with a Master Hunter title. Maya was a friend to all.  We expect Lilo's puppies to have many of the same traits as Lilo, her parents, and grandparents as well.
